Is it ok for a neighbor to fly a drone with camera over your house?

Also true for bullets. If you are on a half-acre lot, I'd give that, and your local gun laws some serious thought before you start firing into the air.

A guy I've never seen before came knocking on my door last night at about 9pm. He said he crashed his drone above or near my house and wanted to search my backyard for it. I have a gate and it's locked so he can't just get right in. Being that I get up at 5 am an was already in bed I said to come back tomorrow. He seemed very upset and was practically begging to be let in. I stuck to my guns. I went out there this morning and didn't see it but I'm sure he'll be back. Kinda was hoping I found it in a million pieces.

Could easily be a new scam to rob people.
I would not have let him search for it at night either.
Why was he flying a drone in the dark ?

It gets completely dark by about 830 or so. His story was that he was looking for it for awhile in the neighborhood already. He told me where he lives so I'm not sure if a scam or not but he wasn't getting into my backyard to look around after I was in bed already and it was dark out. The only reason I answered the door was because he wouldn't stop knocking and my kid was going to wake up.
