I wouldn't mind living near an old, interesting cemetery.

Findagrave.com has a section on headstone photo requests. You can look up a cemetery near you, see if they have any photo requests, go find the grave, take the photo and upload it. I find it a great way to get out of the house and get a little walk and sun..

Thanks, I'm going to do that. It sounds a bit silly now but I always wondered who those wonderful people were who took the photos of the gravestones. (Someone took photos of my entire family plot) but I never thought i could be one of them.

A converted lodge at the front of a cemetery went up for sale here in Glasgow about five years ago and there was a rush to buy it.. the downside for me was that it was behind a high wall to the left of the big gates.. maybe if it faced out into the street Id have thought about it but not tucked away as you cant see the house at all well maybe the roof.. so no I dont think so in this case.........there was a lovely house on cemetery grounds some years ago going really cheap but I looked at the photo and thought no.. not on a dark night or after watching a creepy movie..

It wouldn't be my first choice, and I also think it would depend on what "near" a cemetery means? Like down the street or literally next to your backyard.

But regardless, I still might consider "renting" a house. I don't think I would ever "buy" a house near a cemetery because resale down the road would likely always be challenging.

The only problem I could see, is if there are alot of teens around, that would use the cemetry, as a place too drink and party......memories.

Not a problem for me at all, some of the cemeteries around here at absolutely beautiful!! (look up pictures of Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati)...

Besides that, whoever defined a ghost/spirit...as a 'once living person that has died'? We just ASSUME ghosts are 'spirits of the once living'...there is not a shred of evidence to support that though.
