It’s not attractive but it works. The slimline small bell design uses the lower water pressure well. We’ve used it for years.
Think of it this way — the pipe gives out water. If you take that water and force it into something that is 6 inches wide with 100 little holes, it will have to lessen the pressure merely because you’re diffusing the water over 6 inches. If you concentrate that water into a cylinder you get the full pressure of that water, coming through the 50 or so little holes that they’re allowing to spread a smaller amount.
My hair has started to gray. I had to start using conditioner. And 15 seconds of rinsing the conditioner works perfectly. And I live in California.
I got a cheap one years ago bro at Home depot and it has been fine as wine. I give it some of that lime away stuff every once in a while in a bowl to keep it clean and lean.

Likely I'm saving water too, but I don't believe I'm wasting it either.
I use a simple 'star' shower head as all I need is lots of water FAST and I'm happy.
