They give you more than nightmares. Is that why you use them on outside lights....hate your neighbors??

Now that Kelvin has been beat to death, let's talk Lumens now!

(Those of us, whom use Kelvin, it is now preferred to use the lower case "k.")

It is merely a matter of degree. But blue lights are definitely worse.

About two decades ago, our doctor made a point of sleeping "dark". We got rid of the clock radio light (blue)!!.

Unfortunately, we live on a view lot overlooking town and like to sleep with the windows and doors open at night. So we ended up a elaborate double blind system that lets the air in but keeps the neighbors lights out.

We do have a off-grid home that we rent as a vacation rental. It is totally dark there, solar dose not generate enough electricity to waste by keeping the lights on at it.

One of the comments we always get from our guests are how well they slept. Most don't credit it to the lack of night-time lights.

Those newfangled electric lights have only been around for about 100 years in common usuage. Took us that long to discover the link between breast cancer and night-time lights.

It is amazing that so many people are afraid of RF radiation, but totally ignore night-time lights.

Even lumens does not count a lot ..the real deal is foot candles down where you see ....depending on the fixture different lumens can produce way different foot candles down where the tires meet the road

I have a mixture of color temperatures in my existing light bulb stash but I only buy 2700K for anything new. The daylight bulbs negatively affect the human body's production of melatonin which regulates the ability to fall asleep. Some day my house will be free of daylight bulbs.

Lights don’t matter a bit to me when sleeping. My boyfriend however has a really hard time getting to sleep if there is any light in the room at all. So funny how different people are.

Remember, this is only for one bathroom with gray walls. I just think the combination looks good, since the gray just looks off with warm lighting. Most of our house is 2700K-3000K.

Click on my links and do a search on sleep and nighttime lights.

There was a interesting study on a couple of tribes in Borneo??......these folks had NO LIGHTS at night. The moon affected their sleep cycle!!

Sleep is a funny thing. You really need to monitor brain waves to see if your getting restful sleep.

BUT, the important thing is SLEEP really affects your health. You want a good nights sleep no matter what.

Keep track of when your sleeping with your boyfriend or alone. BUT you do know in a scientific experiment you must hold the OTHER variables constant!!!
