I thought it looked good with the gray bathroom walls. 6500K was very common in the CFL era, but much less common in the LED era.

I can't possibly imagine 6500K LED bulbs for residential lighting that isn't relegated to a basement, garage, or exterior light. I got rid of every single daylight bulb in my house and replaced them with 2700K LED bulbs. Daylight bulbs give me nightmares.

That would drive me nuts. Way way way too yellow. My lighting inside is 5000k for most rooms.

BTW, I still have a pink CFL bulb for my nightstand in my bedroom.

I think it really is a personal preference. Anything with a 4000K rating on up remind me too much of blue high-intensity vehicle lights. 5000K plus LED bulbs do have uses, but only for specific types of applications IMO.

I really don't like such blue-ish light at all. Maybe for small detail work but not for overall room lighting.

I find that 6000+K temperature hurts my old fart eyes.
I prefer 3200-3500K temps.

2700K is about as white as my wife likes bulbs. We have several table lamps with 2200K or 2300K LED Edison-style.

Why are you (still) insisting that 6500K bulbs are very hard to find? People posted links. Click on them...

90% of all led lighting I sold when I worked for a supply house was 5000k fixtures ....our stock of replacement lamps sold mostly 5000k with a smidgeon of 2700k ....very little moved in 6500k whether fixtures or lamps ...

Odds are you will find 6500k stuff on line but not generally the local supply house or hardware store unless they actually get calls for it.

There is also a difference in the way the lamp temperatures couple to the room between cfl and led .one is a linear source of light emanating from the surface of the lamp ..the led is a point source ...

So the color can look a bit different and not comparable except right at the source
