Can someone give me a wag for the going rate to cut about 1/4 acre of grass (less house and garage). It takes me a little under an hour with a push mower; there are lots of trees. The median income here is about $50,000. I'm talking about an adult who happens to be in a depressed industry and could use the money to pay his mortgage, versus a pro or a teenager.

Thanks.

I paid a fireman $35 for about 8000 sq feet of lawn, That was just mowing, i took care of the rest. You might call some of your local firehouses and ask of any of those guys do mowing as a side job...they can use the extra $

That kind of service runs around $35-40 here in the burbs of Atlanta, and would include weedwhacking, edging, and blowing off the walks/drives afterwards.

You may want to contact churches near your house and see if there are any youth that do yard work/mowing.

$25 a month for all of that in Corona is a steal. I haven't heard of anyone charging less than, and usually more, than $100 a month. I want your gardener's name...!
