So is this Walmart going to be a regular Walmart Store, Supercenter, or a Neighborhood Market store? If its a Neighborhood Market store that's built like the one in Dallas off North Central Expressway, then I'm definitely okay with it. At least it will be one less ugly warehouse building going away to make room for some newer development.

So is it going to be a Neighborhood store? Anyone know.

We can get that at Target. I can count on two hands the number of times I've been in a Walmart. That was becuse it was the only 'megastore' in the town of 40k I lived in.

Blue Windshield Washer Fluid:

Target - $1.39 gal. and they only have three.
WalMart - $0.98 gal. and they have 100+ in the aisle.

Flip Flops:

Target - $5.99 - $12.99
WalMart - 5 pairs for $10.98

See what I mean?

I have no problem with the Wal Mart itself. What I do have a problem with is that it is a giant superstore with a large parking lot with another strip mall center surrounding or in front of the giant superstore. That type of development belongs in the suburbs. Not in the middle of an urban area or an area that is trying to urbanize. It really hurts the urban character of the area.

Wal-Mart is trying to get into all of these urban areas like inner loop Houston, Chicago, and now DC and they bring their suburban model to urban neighborhoods. That literally sucks.
