I happen to enjoy steaks, and have mastered the process on my Viking Grill... but I just cannot consider a shake over good wine, but maybe I'm weird.

What?!?!??!? I admit I'm probably a bit biased being from Chicago. Their shakes are great and so are those bean crocks. The burgers are so-so.

Years ago there was one on 1960 over by Champions. It is a hamburger place. I don't remember it being anything special, but that was a long time ago.

It isn't, really. I think this is kind of a play towards the transplants.

It's still there - I stopped by about a month ago. I admit I didn't get a shake so I don't know about those - but the burger was just ok. I don't remember anything about bean crocks even on the menu - and it seems like I would have just because it would have been out of the ordinary.

I'm not so certain they still have them, but back in the day we'd put those beans and some fries on the burger and have a shake. And that's all I have to say about "back in the day".

Yeah. I'm very familiar with it. It is similar to Johnny Rocket's. However, the burgers are made with very flat pieces of steak and with the usual condiments. The fries are real small and steak cut, but they give you a lot of them. Basically, Steak n' Shake is a diner like place with great shakes.

They have them all over Atlanta. We would eat there every now and then when hubby was attending Ga Tech. It was nothing that great.
