I live near Reliant/the Dome and I've never been pulled for speeding. In fact, I've never been pulled for speeding, ever, anywhere.

Jfre81, Knock twice on real wood to keep yourself from being jinxed. I have been pulled over enough times to know that I do not need to drive no more than about 65-70 miles per hour on the freeways.

I read the article last night and as soon as I started reading it, I knew Houston would be at the top.

Well, if you don't speed you probably won't get pulled over.

However watch out going east on 610. They like to hide under the old Astroworld walkway, on the left side. Around high noon they are pretty invisible there, waiting for people speeding as they come down from the overpass.

They like to hide in the tollway on I-10. I've seen them a couple of times on Westpark Tollway when the road curves and you can't see them around the corner. Other than that, didn't see too many cops on I-10 in the Katy area.

I make that trip daily, haven't seen one yet.

HPD are basically carjackers. They need to be locked up.
Well I haven't been given a ticket for no reason -- when I've gotten a ticket in the speed traps; I have been speeding so I don't feel carjacked. I feel ticked off but when push comes to shove, it is my own fault.

You must not have read the portion of my post where I said they target people coming off the ramps. The speed from the freeway will decrease dramatically on the ramp. It will go from 60 to 35. No one can reasonably slow down that quickly in a safe manner. By slowing down so quick, it endangers the safety of everyone on the road if there are more than one drivers exiting the ramp.

The catch 22 situation is exactly what law enforcement is trying to exploit by targeting the off ramps. Hence, "carjacker" is an accurate description of men with guns taking your money.

People need to learn how to speed. Never push on your brakes when spotting a cop; just come off the accelerator and it will make their radars go crazy.

Yep, and don't speed over hills in a cop infested area.
