Hi all,
I'm hiring someone for picking up my son from school. This lady seems to be nice woman, but still i want to take some precautions, what all those could be, please suggest.

Call Uber. They do this in San Francisco. They might consider of doing it in Houston.

If this is a regular occurance, would generally be much cheaper to find a good after school care that offers school pick up than hiring an outsider or Uber every day. If this is a one off then that's different.
