Internet Speed: Woodlands vs Kingwood (home, zip code, residential)

Does anyone know if there is a difference in internet speed of these two communities. I am setting up a business in these areas and need high speed access. My concern is not enough bandwidth and potential bottlenecks in downloading and data feeds from Chicago and New York.

The two internet providers in Kingwood are Suddenlink for Cable and Centurylink for DSL, you can check max speeds on their websites, use 77339 for zip code, that is front half of Kingwood.

If it's a business then you'll get a business Internet link that has associated SLAs to guarantee performance. I wouldn't worry about. If you try to use a residential Internet link for business purposes then of course there will be variances in how it performs, at what time of day, etc.

Are you running a business out of your home or a business park is the main question. If a business park check with your agent to see what business services are available. If in a home you can check with the providers in the area to see what the offer for business services.

As someone else stated if a 99.996 Uptime in important to you then you need a business class service. It can even be the same speeds as a residental type account but it going to have a different SLA. If your service goes down they will be out to fix it with the terms of a business SLA instead of residental SLA which can be an hour turn around instead of days. This is why business class services are more expensive.
