We will probably move out due to the fact it isn't urban enough...we like denser public transportation central city focused cities. Of course it will be hard to leave the great weather...food...and beautiful neighborhoods. We will enjoy all of its positives it as much as we can while we are here.

i'm here for the amount of jobs avail. i'm happy with how much houston has changed since i remember visiting as a kid, but the more i'm here, the more i miss the scenery and outdoor activities i'm used to being around when i lived in the southwest/west, and even the hill country. gonna work and work, keep savings and prob live somewhere else with a more higher quality of life for outdoors. it's not as laid back as i thought it would be either.

I left Houston after retiring to be near family. I moved to DFW area which is less than an hour and a half from most of my family and within 3 hours of all but one sibling. I miss Houston and as an oil and gas headhunter work in Houston still via electronic means and phone to recruit talent and find jobs for them in Houston. Houston is oil mecca for a recruiter or oil and gas job hunter

I just did it. Weather and scenery were my number two reasons. Other than that, crime, traffic and sprawl.
