Hi, all,

My husband and I will be returning to your area ( soon to be ours!) to make choices about the interior/ exterior of our new home.

I am hoping to try out a couple of great restaurants while we are there. By great, I don't mean expensive....just great food....the sort of places you might not know about unless you're a local. We are open to just about anything but Japanese/ sushi. American food, Chinese, good Mexican ( hopefully, not Tex-Mex...no offense!) , barbecue, etc.

I am hoping you guys will have a lot of great suggestions for us to check out. Thanks!

For some good burgers try The Counter in Market St. Or you can try Jerry Built hometown burgers on lake woodlands Dr.

For some decent fish tacos/burritos you can try Wahoos Fish Tacos on 45 north of Research Forest Dr.

For good Italian try Brio Tucson Grill right across from cheesecake factory at the mall.

And if you want to cook your own food...the double baked potato stuffed chicken from Herbert Speciality Meats is awesome. (located right across from wahoos fish Tacos)

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Wahoos...they are everywhere here, and we've always had one close to where we live. I hope this one is close to our new house.

I am taking notes...and will take this with me for reference. Please keep suggestions coming, and thanks so much again!

Guri do Sul – Brazilian Churrascaria and Steakhouse – The Woodlands, TexasHOME » Guri do Sul - Brazilian Churrascaria and Steakhouse - The Woodlands, Texas (Something different)
Ploy Thai Cuisine (popular)

Restaurants near The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Houston -I'd say most of those restaurants are going to be top choices for people visiting The Woodlands. Goose Acre is highly recommended for their tables next to the Riverway, I know this to be the only one that exists except Landry's, but they don't have tables as close as Goose Acre's. I know this because I do my cardio around there.
