Anyone have a person they use to shop insurance rates? We just got our renewal information for our home owners insurance, and it occurred to me we haven't shopped it around in a while. Aren't there people who do this for you? Any recommendations or more info on this? I assume they get their cut from the insurance company you end up with?

Your friends on city-data already did the shopping around for you!

Homeowner's insurance rates

The cliff notes version - many saw increases of 20% or more this year, myself included. Based on the recommendations here I went directly to Liberty and saved much more than 20%. Had to move everything to get all the discounts of course, but well worth it. Car insurance went down a decent amount too, umbrella was the only thing up, $50 or so.

I've already got Liberty : /

When I signed with them 3 years go, it was 1% / 1% / 1%, but they've since changed it to a 2% hurricane deductible... not happy about that.
