We're in Sienna and I have ATT and my wife has Verizon, and we've had no issues either way. Sprint is hit or miss. A lot cheaper though...

I have no words to reply to OP because my story is the exact same !!! Lolo it's incredible to see this because I was just complaining to my parents about what happened to me earlier this weekend.

Once my phone bill came out I called them to adjust my bill since I've had many dropped calls and they offered only $20 reimbursement. I tried canceling but it's not the best option w all the fees they'll charge. It's worse at times for my parents in Victoria. They were at times not a single call could go through all day. With my 5 lines and some handling important business calls its a huge disappointment. I plan on filing whatever paperwork need be for the DA to sue as long as whomever in this thread can keep me posted about the process for that. Hopefully we can get something started.

I looked up that the District Attorney sued Sprint before back in 2007 for so many complaints.

Doesn't sound normal. I've had Sprint since before I moved to Houston almost 10 years ago and I travel all over the city for work. Other than the horrible 3G speeds which are being corrected with the network upgrades, I've never had call or text issues in the area.

Judging from all the Sprint posters sans 1 or 2 in this one thread, doesn't sound abnormal that Sprint services suck. I have Verizon and I have great 4G speeds and service.

Yep horrible service with sprint. I get zero cell service in my house and 1/2 the time when I am out around town even though the phone says it has full bars of 4g LTE service the internet speed seems closer to that of dialup.

I get my cell free through work so I can't complain to much

Depending on the manufacturer, most phones show signal strength for the 3G network. Some show signal strength for the RTT 1x network (Voice). I haven't heard of any current Sprint phones that show LTE signal strength. LTE doesn't travel as far as 3G and speed drops off faster the further you are away from the signal. You would have to get into the diagnostic menus on the phone to see LTE signal strength.

Also, as far as coverage issues go, Samsung phones are known for having poor radios in them. I've seen where a Samsung phone will say no signal but a HTC phone will have 2-3 bars.

Thank you mikeyyc We will probably stay with Verizon unless we find some amazing deal with ATT. From the looks of it, all wireless service stinks inside any building in TMC - particularly Ben Taub Hospital. My hubby isn't happy about that at all since he uses his smartphone for so many things throughout the day, especially when he is on call or working an overnight shift - keeps him sane. But I guess he will have to just deal and perhaps take up reading again

I have AT&T and I can't make a call without a drop. It doesn't really matter how many bars I have either. Might just be my specific area but it is really bad.
