We had a Check Please show on public TV in Chicago that was great for local reviews. Especially good for finding off the beaten path and BYOB places. I am getting referrals from people we meet in this friendly town but don't remember unless I write it down immediately Thanks --

I use both of the previous two mentions. Also the chron bought 29-95.com.i

And really...Many wouldn't publish 'hole n the wall' gems or great off the path places for fear that they get over run and ruined. They are places you take special guests. I know Im not alone in that thought.

I'm torn between the "I want them to get the business and praise that they deserve" and the "I don't want to ruin MY spot" quandary from time to time.

Some folks will dispute some of these but this is a pretty good list since Houston has thousands of restaurants.
