Does anyone know where I can purchase seltzer water in Houston or Katy TX. We just relocated last month from Connecticut and are having trouble finding this item in the stores. My husband is a big fan of seltzer water and it would be a shame if he has to give it up if the item is sold in Texas.

Fear not! Topo Chico Mineral Water can be found at almost any grocery store or gas station in Houston. Topo Chico Agua Mineral

p.s. Topo Chico (or any seltzer/soda water) with a few dashes of bitters is a great way to settle a queasy stomach.

Thinking of getting the ol' vaudeville troupe back together and resurrecting some old, old, old jokes?

Welcome to Houston!

For seltzer, you might want to try Central Market on Westheimer@Weslayan or Spec's flagship store on Smith Street in Midtown. If there is a neighborhood Spec's near you, give 'em a call.

Central Market is a huge gourmet grocery store. Spec's is one of the largest resources in the country for alcoholic and other beverages.

I've purchased carbonated water at Wal-mart. I believe it's 50 cents a bottle for their brand and I think the bottles are 1 liter or 1.5 liters.

Most liquor stores should have it, if you can't find it in grocery stores (which surprises me).

There is also a device you can buy to turn water into carbonated water.

It can be found in grocery stores (I get mine at HEB). But it's not on the water isle. It's on the isle where they sell margarita mixes, etc.
