WT? Is this a new trend that I am not aware of in Houston?

315 Embry St, Houston, TX 77009 - HAR.com

Check the 11th photo. I guess if it gets too hot, you can pop your head under the water? Or put the fire out with the bath water?

I have seen it in very large homes throughout the years. I would love it.

It's useless can you imagine cleaning that out having to lean over the tub!

On another note that is the filthiest house I have ever seen advertised on the internet. Why didn't they move that old furniture out before taking those pics and clean up that kitchen and wash the freaking dishes....

I can't unsee some of those pictures...you should of put a warning!

My friend has a faux fireplace in her bathroom, you just turn on the switch and the flames come on. It's actually pretty cool.

Gas logs take care of that problem.

That house is a short sale and priced under what you would normally pay. Yeah, it's gross.

Right?

Short sale or not if a realtor takes the time to get pictures taken they can call up someone and clean. I mean really.

The amount of houses that aren't short sale that have some of the worst pictures if a trip. I'd never go with a realtor with that much lack of common sense. Presentation is a big deal in showing a house. Before you see it in person you check out pictures.

If the carpet has funky stains that could be who the hell knows or wants to know I don't care if it's a River Oaks worth $100k that's gross and a automatic no.

The fireplace next to the tub? I've seen those in semi-custom tract homes for over a decade now. I think it goes with that whole Suburban Tuscan Revival Period. The worst ones share the opening with the master bedroom, so anyone one can see you bathing if they walk in the room. Spouse, kids etc. eh...no thanks.

It may be a short sale but I wouldn't pay half a million bucks to live there. It was a strange decision IMO to build that kind of house there and I think that the pictures are very telling of that.

As for the fire by the bath - actually in theory I think that would be quite nice. I wasn't a fan of how it was done in this instance but I can see the appeal of it.

Short sale or not, surely they could have shut some of the cabinet doors and swept the mess so that it wasn't in the photo. Twenty minutes of light work to make the pictures look better would have gone a long way.

At the first photo, my mouth dropped because it was so cheap. The inside is a dump. Although it's a short sale, why wouldn't they at least clean a little bit? I mean, at least take the dirty mattress out of the way for the picture. No effort.. Wow..
