Businesses do/work the way they think is most profitable to them
I don't see why the government should step in and tell businesses their business hours or how to operate their business.
Did Dopo's account get hacked?

my guess is that less than 25% of jobs can be done from home.

My job can be done from home, but every now and then somebody has a question or problem that I have to talk to them in person.
Maybe you could do it at home 1-2 days a week or every other week.

I was offered to work from home 1 day per week since they saw how frustrated I got after my commute went to $hite because our office was relocated.

Did you take them up on that offer? Is it helping your mental health?

I have an 8-5 job and I have been telecommuting for several years . I am available 8-5 for my employer, I dont run errands when I have work to be completed. Anyone can reach me at the first attempt and I am very prompt in replying to my emails. I update my status as away and for how long if I have to run out . Most importantly I meet my deadlines even if I have to work a little extra. I feel I have been blessed to stay on this job. I do encourage employers to promote telecommuting . As long as you are productive and get the job done why should it matter where you work from.

Agree with this completely. I had an office job not long ago and wondered why I couldnt do 80% of my work from home. Especially when I'd show up at 9, begin my day grinding away while I saw co workers show up at 9 but go on a Starbucks run close by, come back, sit at their cubicle, talk a little here and there, and not really start on much until almost 1030. By 4ish, I was done and ready to leave(but had to stay 8-9 hours or else it would be frowned upon). Many would stay until past 6 easily.

Before that gig, I had a work from home w/ some travel marketing job, and happy to be back in it again. I just don't understand why the office jobs that just require email and phone for the most part don't allow their workers to stay at home if they choose. Corporate always needing to keep an eye 24/7. It's in our culture but it needs to change & Prob will as my generation tends to move and change jobs more often. We aren't happy being stuck doing the same thing for 30 years until we retire.

What would you think if you were told that those people are gonna start "telecommuting"?

I'm all for it. It'd be nice to see this more common with more employers.
