Mayor Parker doesn't go down as the worst Houston mayor in recent history.

I can't wait for Turner's first corruption trial, maybe SJL will testify for him.

Those Mattress Mac commercials for Bill King were a huge turnoff for me and pushed me to vote for Sylvester Turner.

Why? Anyone who's been around Houston more than a few years knows that if given the chance, the city will screw it up somehow.

Well that's certainly a great way to make your voting decisions.

a city of nearly 2M people, yet only 220,000k ballets cast in this runoff election for mayor? there is your answer right there...I guess the rest of the people were too busy watching katy football, spending money on Christmas gifts they didnt have or saw one rain drop and said to hell with it.

I agree with Austinite...a bunch of sore keyboard losers sitting behind their computer screens tonight

^^This^^ and the fact that King was claiming that he could fix all of Houston's problems without raising taxes , only a effing fool would believe that. The only way you're going to fix roads, Police, pension, etc... is to cut the dead weight(worthless high earning city employees) and raise taxes PERIOD! I hate taxes, but I do understand the concept of getting what you pay for.

IMHO Mattress Mac represent the good ole boy mindset that keeps Houston from progressing to a world class city.

Once Shelia Jackson opened up for Turner is when he lost me lol, at least he was smart enough to not have that clown (SJL) flood the TV's with her support ie: Mack/King

The thing that really had my head shaking is "HOW IN THE WORLD" do you re-elect the incumbent school board members in HISD????? That alone should tell you the ignorance of the Houston voters.

On another note EVERY single councilmen who backed that HERO garbage should have been voted out.
