Check out the Dome Shadows website. it now contains 15 pages plus forum and we have added new photos including a nice interior photo of the club. Marshall Stewart owned 16 clubs including some on Market Square and S. Main, but the Dome Shadows remained the most popular he built. And a big thanks goes to judge Roy Hofheinz for sueing M.M. Stewart for $1,000,000 for the use of the name. Marshall counter sued for $1,000,000 and won.

I remember The "Dome Shadows" like it was yesterday..I played music there with Bobby Bradshaw..I came in with Dean Scott and his groups, Alan Wayne, Wayne Shannon, etc...I remember paying behind a great singer in Jesse Lankford. I see Jesse every Friday night at a club called The Lodge, on Kuykendahl, a mile North of 1960....Jesse and I sing there on Fridays along with Ray Pate. If you remember us, come see us..The charge of admission is TO HAVE FUN with the oldies. I remember playing behind Roy Head and the Traits when his keyboard player got ill..... I remember all of us going to Cokins restaurant on South Main for breakfast. We would switch off playing month to month from the Dome Shadows to Van's Ball Room...I was the keyboard player..What a great Era that was!!!!! I remember playing in a great group with Arnet Cobb on Market Square at Griff's Green Derby, Ali Baba and the Cellar Club..Then we would go to The Image club at 307 main Street, after hours, to hear Bj Thomas and Johnny and Edgar Winters...This were the times...BJager

lol - I went there when I was either 14 or 16 and not only did they let me in and not check ID, they served me alcohol (and I looked exceptionally young for my age).

The Shandy Club was at 4001 S. Main I believe. Two of my friends (Bill McGinnis & Curly Leedeker)managed it.
