Dallas really is the better place to live, you know. Those of us stuck down here just pine away at night for the change to spread our wings and fly to Dallas...

TBH, I felt a bit...sick typing that...

I'm afraid Houston's turning into the Southern version of Detroit. It's just oil-and-gas and Exxon's gift, NASA. I'm planning to leave for a bigger city like Los Angeles or Chicago. Dallas is automatically out of the picture because I really want to leave the state.

Let's not use the word "pine" makes folks think there are trees here in the Houston area...and as we all know...Houston is totally barren, lots of bare land, tumbleweeds...very brown..and let's not forget HOT HOT HOT..
..coming from CA, I sure wish I had researched Dallas/Fort Worth more, sigh.
..oh well, guess we have to bloom where we are planted..maybe others could learn from our errors and move to Dallas instead...

Houston? Hot place to live...you are so right it does get hot in summer!! LOL! I lived there and I lived in LA, San Fran, Dallas, New york city now. I would not live in Houston if they paid me. If I couldnt live in the above places the includes Chicago, Boston then I guess I might live in Houston.

Being from the Detroit area - born, raised, and educated there - I can assure you with OVERWHELMING confidence that Houston is nothing like Detroit.
