I’m just looking for a sit-down place without waiters where I can eat a couple of slices and not be gouged. I’ve always been a fan of Star Pizza, but it’s really far to get there from near Katy, where I currently live. Star Pizza is not inexpensive, but it is filling and tasty without being overly salty.

I tried that one, but didn’t like it. Way too much cheese on them. The owner was really nice though. He said that it was “noo yoo-ark style”- lol.

I like Pink’s for this, but none are near Katy.

I see cheap, greasy, reliable Bambolino's is still a thing. I tended to favor the sandwiches though.

I saw a Pink’s today on Washington St when I was driving to Star Pizza at Harvard & Washington. Do they sell by the slice? Chicago style crust, thin or in between?

Yes, by the slice...New York style, large slices. Can fold it like they do.

Romano's on West Gray near Waugh. Same center as Cafe Express. Great pizza by the slice, run by some brothers from Brooklyn. Far better than Star, in my opinion.

What, then, is your definition of good pizza?
