We're very involved in our kid's school PTA. Well, they had this silent auction thing to raise money and we won a bid for a one night stay at the Hilton Suites in the Galleria. So my wife and I had a little vacation this weekend and I took my camera along. Hope you enjoy.

Great pics! That's the Houston I know and love -- it always gets a bad rap, but sooo many people live there and know how great it is. I've stayed at the Westin on the other side of the mall quite a bit (the one in the foreground of the 11th pic)... there is a running track on the roof of the mall section, where you are right next to the curved windows at the top. Did you check that out? There are also 2 helipads up there, to avoid that nasty Galleria traffic.
