Okay..

Fresno is an unincorporated area in Fort Bend County.

Fresno is in Fort Bend ISD.

Two elementary schools, Burton Elementary School and Goodman Elementary School, serve Fresno.

Some of Fresno is served by Lake Olympia Middle School, while some of Fresno is served by Baines Middle School.

All of Fresno is served by Hightower High School.

Hightower's issue is that many feel like the school is suffering from Patricia Paquin, the current principal. See: http://www.houston-press.com/Issues/...s/feature.html

I think Sugar Land is the nicest... it's bigger, more developed, has a nice city center, lots of shopping/restaurants, etc.
Then would come Missouri City, especially the western portions (which neighbor Sugar Land and are basically identical).
Then Pearland.
Then Fresno. It's just a lot less developed.

All are probably good choices for someone commuting to the Medical Center (with the exception of far west Sugar Land, which will give you a longer commute than the others)

Take a hard look at the western areas of Missouri City... those zoned to Dulles or Elkins high schools. The neighborhoods are very nice, easy access to great Sugar Land amenities, but slightly closer to Houston than Sugar Land is so you have a better commute. Some of the homes are also a little better priced because they don't have have a Sugar Land address (although the area is basically just like Sugar Land)

I personally wouldn't move to Fresno (yes, you would get a good-sized home for your money, but you get what you pay for....not great schools/community). You would do better buying a home in west Missouri City or Sugar Land like the previous poster said. West Pearland is also "booming".
