there really isnt one area of Houston where the "affluent" blacks live....black folk are spread all around this metropolitian area....there is a great mix of doctors, lawyers, politicians, and business leaders who live in the macgregor area or third ward in Houston.....further south down 288 in Pearland, 20-30%% of the population is black and most of them are middle class-upper middle class and live in master planned communities in the Pearland area.

You can find clusters of black middle to upper middle class people in Missouri city, Sugarland, Richmond, Katy, Cyress, Spring, Klein, Tomball, the Woodlands, Kingwood and Humble...but unlike cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Birmingham and Memphis, blacks in the suburbs arent just in one suburb...black people are spread out over this area.

The closest area you'll find something similar to the black upscale neighborhoods in Atlanta is the Greater 3rd Ward area. Doctors, professors, lawyers and more all live amongst this area.

That is super different from Atlanta. Wealthy blacks are concentrated in some parts of DeKalb and Gwinnett.

I know where that is. There are alot of gangs that live in that part of town. I was at Zaxby's off Mt. Zion in Morrow, and there comes a gang starring me down.

Yeah, they were all over those areas. I hope you find the black affluence that you are looking for in Houston.
