I did as much research as I could and I think Fall Creek is fine. Now as far as the dump it seems far away enough. When I drove to eagle springs I passed by it and it stunk pretty bad. Honestly that is one of the reasons I got turned off by it.

Eagle Springs has NEVER had issues with smells. I know because I use to live there. I have heard that Summerwood and Fall Creek have and of course Canyon Lakes which sits right there in its back yard. They have I believe two more acres that they can use which I believe is towards Canyon Lakes. It is in the forums some where on here.
You should be pretty happy there. Most people who do live there are. Just beware and make sure to have your house monitored. Ever since we were building all we ever heard abt was break ins and i still hear of them. Like I said though everybody seems pretty happy who does live there and we have not quite taken it off our list just yet. There just are not any inventory homes that have intrigued us in there as of yet.
Congrats all around and be sure to get an inspector!!!

I know it sounds silly but the first time we visited Eagle Springs we must have taken wilson rd. and the smell was horrible passing by the dump. So me and the fiance kind of associate that with Eagle Springs. The second time we went we went all the way down will clayton and of course no smell. The commute was a big factor in this decision.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll be very happy. No house, and no location, is perfect... except for where EasilyAmused, lives, of course. So don't worry about potential downsides too much. Just enjoy your new home and the equity you'll be accruing.

That is funny because when we first found ES we never even knew the dump was there till we went that way to get to the Beltway out towards Willowbrook. It is truly awful and we never go that way unless we have to. Hubby worked and will be working in Baytown so the commute is not as bad as it is for those who work downtown. Enjoy Fall Creek and your new life together!
