They probably did escape from a zoo, like this other one:

Wichita Flamingo Spotted in South Texas

I was sitting in a construction site trailer looking out the window when I saw those two flying overhead. Unfortuantely I didn't have a camera. I know what they look like vs a spoonbill. I'm not an idiot. There is definitely a little bit of flamingo activity out here for sure, accident or not. It only takes 2 to tango. Believe what you want... a few natives out here in the G.T. will vouch for me.
