Yep, that was the year so many elderly residents died in their homes due to the heat. Very hot & sad summer.

I drove through a rain shower/storm today & saw a rainbow. Can't even begin to say how much I loved smelling that summer rain smell!

After the sun went down over the trees and buildings in Montrose this evening, I sat down on the pavement of a cordoned-off Graustark Street. The sun was no longer beating down on it, but the pavement was still hot.

Those cars and those streets produce and retain a lot of heat, that is true enough.

Atleast its not as humid. Humidity will kick in soon. Hopefully the temp will go down.
