I was tempted to commit some violence at the Galleria this weekend. There was a 25 minute wait to get out of the parking garage in the back and some lady drove up to the side lane and wanted to cut in front of me right when I was at the exit. Luckily there was a security guard standing there so I wasn't able to do more than give the lady a few honks.

So even though she had the parking spot first; she should let them ram her car than just simply drive off and find another one????

You guys are putting too much blame on the victim here
I think you know the answer to that Moderator cut: off topic

I will never make an excuse for someone to commit a violent and senseless act but herein lies the problem. According to the witnesses, the criminals pulled out blades, and the victim gets out of the car. I don't care how bad & hard you think you are [Mod edit -Personal attack], but you won't make things better by getting closer to someone who is making a blatant display he is trying to kill you.

Actually she didn't get out til they got back in the car. They hit her when she was picking up her hat. I'll admit; she should've contacted the cops instead though.

They were outside the truck with blades=use of deadly force justified.

Maybe neither party were legally allowed to carry firearms

errr the point was did she (or her brother) do something right. this is the difference between being part of the problem and surviving this episode and living to tell about it (that right thing)

Without knowing exactly what went down, we can only speculate. The article referenced a "confrontation" which is pretty vague.

Assuming she engaged in some type of heated exchange without retreating if that was an option, I don't think it's accurate to say that she couldn't have done anything to prevent the crime.

It doesn't mean she deserved it in anyway to point out that the wise thing to do is to retreat when possible as opposed to getting in to a confrontation with someone whether verbal or physical.

From a moral standpoint, she did nothing wrong. From a prudential standpoint, it would have been wise to yield the spot to her assailants. (Or pull out her pistol from her purse and start slinging lead, if that option was available, when they started brandishing knives). She chose the middle path and became one with the road.
