Can anybody confirm if you can receive any HD channels on the expanded basic package by WOWway?

I get the following

907 - WHDF
905 - WZDX
904 - WHIQ
903 - WAFF
902 - WHNT
901 - WAAY

This is with a HD cable box. I recently changed my plan when I carried my HD box to their office and told them I don't want it anymore. The told me that in the next 2 months it will be required as there will no longer be any analog or clear QAM channels available due to "upgrade". THe dropped the price and sent me home with he same box I was going to drop off + a new remote that is much better.

Yes, I still get all the local broadcast channels (ABC/CBS/NBC/PBS) in HD without a set-top box. However, the FCC no longer prohibits encrypting basic cable, so the cable companies can now require everyone to use set-top boxes (and charge extra for HD service). WOW will give you 2 standard definition digital boxes at no charge for 2 years, but HD service costs extra.

My unencrypted clear QAM broadcast channels disappeared about a month ago. Now I have to use antenna. Why the change? I already pay $90/mo.

I will be switching to comcast or satellite for SEC TV next year.

I still receive the unencrypted QAM broadcast channels but they keep moving around to different channel locations (i.e. CBSHD used to be 80-2 and is now 58-902 and ABCHD used to be 103-1 and is now 41-901) since WOW took over. I don't own a WOW digital converter box but my television has a built-in HDTV tuner that automatically decodes the over-the-air channels. I think I still get about 15 different digital channels that aren't scrambled/encrypted. Are you using a converter box or HDTV tuner?

I was told by a service tech that all clear QAM channels would be gone by October 1. I guess they misse their goal.
