I would have the Sunday paper delivered but the last time I did that the delivery girl wouldn't come around until 9-10 o'clock. When I cancelled my subscription, they called me and practically begged me to continue my subscription to the point of offering me 2 free months. I told him he was missing the point....I WANT IT EARLIER!!!!! I like to have my Sunday paper early so I can read it while I drink my coffee!!! So now I get my paper from the local Shell station which opens at 6:00am.

Seems lately they are not putting some of the sale papers in. I went 5 weeks (thru Thanksgiving) without a Best Buy sale flyer. Didn't have a Kroger flyer several times. It also seems there are very few coupons in the paper anymore. And more recently, they are adding sales tax to the $1.50 price for the Sunday paper. It's almost not worth buying anymore.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it a localized thing?

Localized thing. Sounds like your problem is with the deliverer. They are also the ones who end up assembling much of the paper.

I almost thought I was reading city data posts from the 1950s. Do people still read newspapers - the kind with paper and ink? With yesterday's news written on them?

I am out here in the country so to speak and we get our paper bright and early with everything in it. I think I remember that the paper is suppose to be at your home by 5:30AM. I would speak with a supervisor/manager of circulation.

I love the Times. We get ours by 4 a.m. without fail. I am extremely satisfied. And yes, some people do still read the paper. I love reading from newsprint vs. computer screen.

I get my paper from the Shell station now so these papers are directly from the times. Someone at the plant is not putting all the ads/coupons in the papers.

No problem getting the paper on Sundays. We only get Sunday for the coupons. Rest of the time, we read it online.

OK, I will admit it, I am a coupon addict. I love bargains and free stuff. I refuse to pay retail!!!

Last week there were a few REALLY good coupon that in conjunction with the Rite Aid sale resulted in 2 free items for each coupon. So I bought a ton of papers(you don't want to know how many)

There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the papers, there were 4 coupon inserts that week. About half had 3, some had 2, sales ads were very inconsistent also from paper to paper. I think it is just sloppiness in putting them together, either that or the people putting them together don't have enough of certain ads or coupon inserts.

I get the paper delivered Sunday only with an early delivery time(it is here by 6, that is all I know) and occasionally I guess they have too many in the car because we have gotten it sporatically through the week since starting the Sunday deliveries.
