Nice. One should be going up before too long for the Hampton Inn & Suites at the corner of Monroe and Clinton.

And isn't the Holmes and Green location about where the new Hyatt House will be going up?

I was coming south on Research Park Blvd, between Jordan Lane and University, and there's a large cleared off area that I think is near Oakwood College. Anybody know what that's for?

New apartment complex coming to SE Huntsville. I don't have a lot of details except its location.

It will be located at the southwestern corner of the Green Cove Road/Ditto Marina Parkway intersection, north of and adjacent to the Somerset development. It will front Ditto Marina Parkway with the Aldridge Creek green-way behind it.

The new parking deck across from the VBC on
Monroe.
The new parking deck will include 725 spaces, bringing the total for the complex to 1,456.

Prior to Thursday, the previous estimate for the project was $18.3 million, but after alterations were made, the bid for the project came in at $14.4 million.

Composite panels will line the sides of the building and will be made using a 3D printed carbon fiber polymer matrix and coated with a durable glass fiber reinforced concrete.

City officials said the panels are being manufactured in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Once complete, the panels will be able to light up in multiple colors, similar to the grotto lights in the park.

Are they adding levels to the existing garage, then demolishing the other end to make way for the Marriott to be constructed?

Both unless something has changed, old demolished, new built and added levels to the newer existing section.
The indicated hotel in the rendering is the Autograph hotel, renderings of it were posted awhile back.
The under construction Hampton Inn is off to the left out of view in this rendering.

Pretty unusual looking garage. I hope they have a "people" exit on the Monroe side from the upper levels. The current way is a pain (or course, nothing going on at the VBC so it doesn't matter at the moment).

Saw that a permit application went through ADEM for a Bojangles' at the intersection of E.J. Briscoe and Madison Blvd. (Near Lanier Rd. across the road from the new Firestone)

I'm still hoping for County Line... even though I'm working on losing weight
