The best place to call would be your local fire company , a church, school or town hall. Often they might have the most strudy structure in town , have a basement and a community storm shelter and would know where places with a storm shelter or basement would be. If you have a house with a basement make your own storm shelter with a table, matress or bed to crawl under to protect you from a collapse of your house. Something else to inquire about is if your town has tornado warning sireens. If they don't tornados may be a rare occurance. For example tornados are less frequent in hilly or mountainous regions.

Yes call your local FD and ask them. What area? If you're in the Harvest/Madison area there's a church on the corner of Old Rail Road and Capshaw that sets up a great shelter.

Your basement is the best place of all.

Good Shepherd United Methodist Church is open as a storm shelter. It is located at Capshaw and Old Railroad Bed Road.

Good Shepherd UMC has a large storm shelter. If needed, it can accommodate overnight guests and includes bathrooms in the shelter and showers/kitchen down the hall. Enter the bottom level off of Capshaw Road.

Tell that to folks in the Missouri Ozarks! However the rest is good advice. This one caught my eye since I just came up out of the basement and the air was looking a little greenish when we went down. Someone who's been thru several tornadoes told me that it will feel as if the air is being sucked out of your lungs when a tornado is nigh, but I've never been that near to one and have lived in tornado country all of my life. If the warnings are for tomorrow, I wouldn't even worry.
