Thousands without power in the Carolinas. Doesn't sound like a lot.

It looked like that last nights sunset here in jersey just beautiful..I'm hoping this storm doesn't put a dent in my travel plans, flying out of Newark tomorrow morning at 7 am to Seattle.. Cambium your thoughts on that?

Expect delays due to wind..

--------------

Total rainfall from GFS6z & previous couple runs say pretty much same thing. Euro as well.

I am now Unimpressed with the rain aspect. Only Surge & Winds for coast only worth noting.

IMO...

Rainfall: Not impressed except for coastal VA, MD, DE, and NJ.

Winds: Not impressed except for coastal VA, MD, DE, NJ, NY

Wind Gusts: Not impressed except for coastal VA, MD, DE, NY, CT, RI

Wave Height & Surge: Could be impressive given the duration

Duration: Impressed

Storm stays off shore whole time. (would be good for a snowstorm). Heaviest rains and winds near core (so not on land).

North central Md.: gorgeous blue skies, slight breeze, high UV index ... reckon I'll start mowing the fields this afternoon when the dew dries up instead of waiting until Labor Day... unless something changes.

You're fine. Go! Is there another route aside from I-95 you can take though? Only thinking about holiday and maybe coastal evacuation traffic and/or flooding in some spots in DE and NJ. Other than that, you'll be fine!!
