If you are still looking to relocate to Pocatello, I would suggest the same areas as previous posts and for the same reasons. Pocatello does have its nice sides but if there are only a select few neighborhoods that would be desirable to live in I hope you would take that as an indication of the standard of living here. The cost of living is so low it is nearly impossible to move out of Pocatello and live a decent lifestyle. Also, Pocatello is along I-15 which hosts so much drug trafficking it has made Pocatello the drug capital of Idaho. Old town is considered a "seedy" part of town, because of the low income housing it hosts, but you can find that all over Pocatello, but Old town has character similar to a small less lively Chicago. I would try to stay away from Poplar st. and Grant. beautiful areas in town are south Garfield and the university area. I tried to end this post on a positive note bcause there are some great outdoor opportunities in Pocatello but it is 11:41pm and my neighbor just hopped on his dirtbike for his midnight ride behind the mountain. (I live in a very densly populated area)

O, before I go I would suggest Idaho Falls as a wonderful alternative, there are beatiful parks and outdoor recreation activities, plenty of community events and their commercial property is thriving!
Idaho Falls has won multiple outdoor awards in magazines and online. There are virtually no dirty neighborhoods in Idaho Falls, they have a strict living code unlike Pocatello.
