Especially with their close proximity to towns/cities. Thank you both again.
I have not heard many good things about Spokane...I suggest sticking to the Idaho side of the border. lol

Regarding Spokane: Like most major cities, there are areas you wouldn't want to live in....BUT there are also very nice family oriented areas as well!

Food for thought: Sales tax is 8.7% on most everything except groceries. In Idaho it is 6% on everything (I get my groceries in Liberty Lake WA between Post Falls and Spokane).

Our property taxes in Kootenai County are MUCH less than Spokane County! We have 10 acres, 2898 sf house, barn, out buildings and our taxes are less than $1500 per year!!!

Car tabs are $44 p/yr for our 1/2 ton pick-up. I'm not sure what they are in Spokane, but I know they are higher.

Just FYI

Sandpointian:

Oooh Yes! I forgot about that!

Having come from the Seattle area back to my roots in Idaho, I still find the income tax, sales tax, fuel taxes etc. to be less invasive of our disposable income in Idaho than when we lived in Washington just 5 years ago!

Thanks for your input! You are right!!

"Brat Tolerant Boise." Well I will tell you Midvale is not brat tolerant. Last night at midnight after listening to this one group setting off firecrackers for almost 5 hours. Yah I know fourth of July and all but enough is enough when a person has four quivering animals I am trying to comfort all that time. I walked down to where they were and told them enough is enough. THEN I got really mad when I realized they were not even from our neighbor hood. Told them to take it home to THEIR own neighborhood and drive their parents nuts. Well that was all it took they were gone in a flash and not one more pop out of them. GGGGRRRR

What is a kid whipped Parent?
