They have to fight it. It's either that or just toss all those years of great game management out the window. How many of you know someone who really depends on getting that cow elk in the freezer each year.
Some very interesting/disturbing implications. Might this also be election-related? What do you think?
Hehehe this is why I love Idaho. Independent and ferociously defiant! It might be election related, but Otter's leading by double digits...I think it's just an Idahoan thing to do!
I mean, the feds either let us(Idaho) manage the wolf population, or let the human population do it w/o restriction. What's worse? Me personally, I think it was stupid to bring them in, but now that they are here, lets manage them.
Good for Otter! When wolves were classified as a game animal, with carefully set limits and managed hunting, it made sense for Idaho's fish and game departments to be the responsible party. This organization is funded by hunting and fishing licensce sales. Now that wolves are once again a non-game species, sportsmen (and Idaho residents) should not be the ones funding their "management". Defenders of Wildlife is upset by this decision? Perhaps they are the ones that should be paying in the first place.
