Brad O'Leary: Survey finds 70 percent support for deporting illegal immigrants | Washington Examiner (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/OpEd-Contributor/Brad-OLeary-Survey-finds-70-percent-support-for-deporting-illegal-immigrants-101826173.html - broken link)

A strong majority of American voters want serious action taken to solve the illegal immigration problem – including 53 percent who say children born to illegal immigrant parents should not be automatic citizens, and 70% who say it’s important to locate and deport those residing in the U.S. illegally – according to a recent poll by Zogby International.
Elected officials are SERIOUSLY out of touch with the American public.
I know that past criticisms of Zogby included lack of geographical diversity, hopefully that has been rectified. I wonder what the Public Policy Poll vs. Rasmussen Reports state. Since there have significant differences between the two on various topics in the past, it would be interesting to see what these two polls state.

According to Rasmussen, "a New York Times/CBS poll found that 69% of believed illegal immigrants should be prosecuted and deported." The article was written on October 13th, 2009. It is interesting to note that "61% are (sic.) somewhat concerned that efforts to identify and deport illegal immigrants also will end up violating the civil rights of some US citizens."
It seems that the rate of wanting deportation is, unsurprisingly, more seen on the right than on the left.

I voted for Obama and usually vote Democrat; I want illegals rounded up and thrown out. Today. If they need help finding them I can give them some great places to start around here.
According to the Fox News poll done via the firm Opinion Dynamics on August 10-11, 2010; a whopping 68% percent of Americans favor "giving illegal immigrants who pay taxes and obey the law a second chance by allowing them to live in the United States"!

Geographical diversity? You mean not enough Hispanics were polled? Well we all know what the results of that poll would be, don't we?
