“Our message is, you can’t sell Mexican food and Mexican culture and sell out Mexican workers,” said protest spokesman Greg Nammacher.
The protestors included fired workers and their supporters. Maria Cortez lost her job at the Lake Calhoun Chipotle. Through a translator, Cortez said she wants answers.
“The people are telling Chipotle to tell them the truth, why they got fired,” said Cortez.
You were fired because you're ILLEGAL (and apparently not very bright)

The statement by Chipotle was sickening...........here in part.......

“We agree that current immigration laws are flawed and believe they put employers in an untenable position. But we cannot employ anyone once we learn that they are not legally eligible to work in the country. This is a heartbreaking situation for us, but we must follow the law"
8 Arrested During Chipotle Sit-In In Minneapolis « CBS Minnesota

Exactly WHEN are ICE going to start deporting this trash rather than just having them fired?

Newsflash Greg, there are millions of perfectly legal Mexicans here in the United States who I'm sure have no problem selling Mexican food and culture while employing other legal Mexican immigrants to help them. Why does the pro-illegal crowd have to be so damn stupid?

What's heartbreaking about firing people who perpetrated a fraud?
Might have to rethink patronizing Chipotle in the future..

Chipotle is corporate owned, not franchises, so fines by ICE would go to corporate wouldn't they? Seems like there should be significant pressure if there is a widespread history of hiring illegals.

Hiring illegals is bad enough - but the destruction of American culture is infuriating. Mexican food? Chipotle? This is America. Eat normal food and speak English for Christ's sake.

Hmm... Chipotle is what I love about America.... the Americanization of other culture's foods and cultures.... like Taco Bell or Fazolis.
