As U.S. economy worsens, illegal aliens send even more money back home - National Immigration Reform | Examiner.com

"On Monday, the Central Bank of Mexico reported that remittances or wire transfers to Mexico increased by 5.48 percent between January and March over the same period in 2010."

"The announcement further confirms the results of Pew Hispanic Center study released in late 2010, which found that while every demographic of native-born workers has lost millions of jobs during this deep recession, foreign-born workers have actually increased their employment numbers"

Immigration was way up in 2010 also. More are moving over than ever and high unemployment rates are not a deterent. The border remains very open and unenforced, illegals aren't having any problem getting over and if there are no jobs, there are plenty of welfare handouts.

If I was a GOP candidate, the last paragraph of your quote would be my campaign motto. You frame immigration as a jobs issue you really can't go wrong. I find it appalling that immigrant job prospects are improving while American job prospects are declining.

Me too. It makes my blood boil; it's outrageous and totally unacceptable.

Agreed. It is even more appalling that the bleeding heart segment of our citizenry continues to support illegal aliens, even to the detriment of their fellow countrymen. What an utterly pathetic mindset.

Equally pathetic are the ethocentric citizens who put their own ethnic group here illegally above their fellow countrymen.

Isn't that amazing? Americans are called racists for wanting to put their countrymen first but if someone who was born here and has roots in Mexico puts illegal aliens from Mexico above the rest of us, they are just defending their "own".... It is always an one-way street.

Sadly, there apparently is no cure for this pathology.

Its amazing how much money goes out of this country and they want to legalize them and send a message to future generations to keep coming.

We need a president with some balls.

Two kinds of bleeding hearts.

There are those who actually believe that the USA can take in the over 2 billion impoverished people of the world. They believe that immigration can be limitless, their hippie hearts feel so sorry for all the disadvantaged throughout the world, if only they could get here and we could give them food stamps and free housing, and pay for the large numbers of children they produce but cannot feed, all will be nice for them.

The other kind are racists. They really don't want the USA taking in all the over 2 billion poor of the world, they want unlimited immigration for "their people". You don't see these racists caring if Haitians are deported, or if Polish illegals are deported. They have a whole nother agenda and it's a very anti-America agenda.
