Some media and advocates of criminals like to paint those in opposition of **illegal** immigration as "anti immigrants" and "anti immigration".

I am totally ANTI illegal immigration, no problem with immigration.

I think we all have problems with burglars who get into our house, take our things and take it with them or someone breaking into our home and claiming residency too it. That doesn't mean we have any problem with guests we invite.

Illegal immigrants are the burglars.
immigrants are guests.

It makes no sense why some people assume why people who oppose to home invasion/illegal immigration automatically oppose guests and visitors/tourists & legal immigration.

People need to realize that you can be anti home invaders without being anti visitors and guests.

You're right. Some pro amnesty people WILL muddy the difference between legal and illegal aliens to try to guilt us in them getting their way.

I wonder how those same pro amnesty people feel about someone breaking into whatever housing they're living in and claiming amnesty to live in that house.

All true. However, some of us pro-legal immigrationists still get accused of being anti-immigrant just because we want legal immigration to be limited to the needs of our country and from diversified groups. It is usually these accusers though that want unlimited immigration from Latino countries and amnesty for those same kind here illegally.

True. Legal immigrants generally like and respect this country enough to abide by the laws while illegals have zero respect for the laws of this country.

Illegals figure that because they broke the laws, they are entitled to quick easy citizenship and believe they are superior to the chumps who come here legally.

People know the difference. They simply try to blur the lines so that they can use lame excuses to justify their position.

That's it in a nutshell. If illegals had a right to be here, their supporters wouldn't need to blur the lines.

What forms of the current legal immigration options do you hardliners support? H1b? Diversity visa lottery? Chain immigration aka family immigration? Most antis don't support any of the current forms of legal immigration. That is why they correctly deserve the label anti-immigrant.

Hardliners? If we were truly anti-immigrant we would demand that we "never" allow in any more legal immigrants. I don't know of anyone who supports that. So no, we don't deserve that label. Besides we are called anti-"immigrant" by the pro side just for objecting to illegal immigration. Do you think that is fair?

I'm willing to bet most people who are anti-illegal immigration want to curb legal immigration.

Let's take a poll shall we.
