What do Americans get out of this especially the people who decided to follow our immigration laws?
I'd like to know how legalizing illegal immigrants in our country equates to an overhaul of our immigration laws. Does he not know the difference between an "overhaul and amnesty"? Will this "overhaul" happen every 10-20 years depending on how many more illegal immigrants have entered our country since the last "overhaul"?

A huge free for all -- anyone who makes it over the border illegally is now expecting easy citizenship, a fat social security check for their retiremen, and of course expect to now bring in all their elderly and children they left behind.
Nothing of course is being required ---they will not have to pay back taxes with fines or face any consequence of committing felony identity theft.
Watch. America's Latino leaders will whine that any suggestion that illegals should demonstrate that they know English by passing TOEFL, pay taxes owed or face consequences for identity theft and forgery will be off the table. If we're "lucky" they'll pay a very minor fine (under $100) and may have to show they spent ten minutes in an American taxpayer funded ESL class.

It's disgusting. It's bad enough in DFW at current levels...god, if they get amnesty...I swear to god I'm going to leave Texas. I just can't take it anymore. I'm sick of paying my taxes to fund social services and schools used by illegals, while paying higher insurance rates, having to press 1 for English, and seeing the burden they create on the taxpayers spill over into public works projects being delayed because the county/state is having to decide between paying for yet more anchor babies to be born in public hospitals or keeping the state's infrastructure from slipping into third world mode. Hell it already looks like Nuevo Laredo down here. Might as well just roll over and flee to Canada while the gettin's good.

In theory, yes. However, Reagan only amnestied 3 million illegal immigrants and our economy wasn't in the sewer with 23 million Americans out of work. Also, we now have at least 4 times the number of illegal immigrants in our country today.
