Do you think that it is possible for the federal government to set a law that requires them to self-deport?

Sure. Most will self deport if employers are held accountable and federal financial aide is stripped from sanctuary cities.

That's right. Cut off the money, you end the problem.

No, but you can "constructively deport" illegals by making them go through the process and laws already on the books for immigrating for employment purposes, such as by taxing wire transfers out of the country for all people who don't or can't produce some sort of government issued work ID, etc, ending chain immigration and birthright citizenship, and remove incentives for moving here such as welfare and benefits regardless of status.

It's harsh, but at some point, you have to make "guests" in your home aware that there is a proper front door by which they should enter... and only then when invited in.

If the IRS would treat them like the citizens then they would be out of here fast. Instead we live in fear of the IRS and they thumb their nose at them...

I never thought of it from that angle. The IRS will take our homes and imprison us for failuer to pay, but they allow 38 million ILLEGALS off scot-free.

No law is needed. If tomorrow all our current immigration laws were enforced and no freebies were given out to illegals many would self-deport. Whoever was left, then we need to deport.

We could do this-there is no doubt in my mind. It is that our president and politicians don't want to. They refuse to listen to the majority of Americans who want this done.

Of course they will self-deport. Why would they consider breaking the law?

France has the same problem with illegal muslim immigrants and they offered $8,000 a head to each person who 'self-deported'. Guess what happened? You guessed it...the aliens took the money and came back later. I can see the same incentive being exploited by our southern neighbors over and over.

Here's the fix: We give a minority of the illegals and avenue to stay temporarily (ex: military or public servitude, etc) and provide a means to turn in their fellow illegals in exchange for more time to live in the US. There will be a massive registration for this program and we can then legally and legitimately execute deportation orders on a mass scale. Then it's just a matter of time, as they are picked out by police contact (traffic tickets/crimes) or employment records and shipped south.
They must pay for their crime of breaking our immigration laws with severe financial penalties that , while they will never pay, ensure they will never return.
