It will take a miracle for major immigration legislation to pass this year, despite the energy that will be demonstrated in the Senate this week. The Senate has done this already, in 2006. The House has not, at least not since a sizable chunk of its members were children, in 1986.

It's Not Gonna Happen on Immigration

It's looking real bad for illegal aliens in the US.

Good, maybe they will go back to where they belong and we can pass real immigration reform:
* 5 year moratorium on all immigration
* national quotas favoring Europe & Asia, and heavily stacked against Latin America
* less than 100,000 legal immigrants per year
* must have a college degree
* must pass an English competency exam
* must renounce all loyalty to their former country, including citizenship in that country.
* complete abolition of student visas
* 75% reduction in work visas
* permanent ban on all immigration from Islamic nations

Doing nothing beats any "reform" they've come up with so far.

Islamic values are not compatible with Western democracy.

You see, Islam is not just a religion but a way of life. It dictates everything.

Agreed but not all Muslims are bad. The Sufis from Mali seem pretty decent and peaceful.

Too; we have lots of college grads here; skilled trades legal aliens can be good

There should be no talk of adding millions more cheap workers to the legal labor pools until unemployment rates are below 4% and most American citizens are gainfully employed. The politicians forgot they are the public servants of the AMERICAN people. They're working for foreigners.
