Anybody know the details of the "immigration" bill that just passed the Senate?
Does it have provisions that let people who have broken our laws and crashed the border (or overstayed their visas) stay in the country, while keeping out the people who have obeyed our laws, applied for legal visas, and are waiting patiently in their home countries for permission to enter?
If so, then it doesn't much matter what else is in the bill. It's toast.
I just can't see creating a new group of permanent residents, whose only qualification is that they broke U.S. law.
Sounds like the LAST group we'd want to accept as permanent residents, not the first.
It's a cram down Senate bill that very few have read. It's a Christmas Tree loaded with ear-marks for a variety of things to Buy Votes.
That's pretty much all it is. It's not "Law" and unlikely to become "Law" in it's current state. At this point - we still have a political system with 2 Houses of Congress. The House will take up this Bill, (hopefully read the sucker) and then (hopefully) debate it before a vote.
My main problem with it is the "waivers" and lack of oversight of Congress. It's like ObamaCare - packed with "rule making" by Homeland Security and loaded with no oversight waivers.
Good. I don't care what side you are on. The economic ramifications of sending all the illegals home are enormous. We'd go straight into another recession, possibly worse.
I saw a lot of Mexicans test driving Obama Cars today so I'm not sure it's DOA.
My wife took her Honda. Why wasn't she informed?
