What several stealth amnesties are you talking about? List them, please
Why didn't British colonists stay in Britain and change their country so they wouldn't be persecuted for their religious beliefs? Why go through all the trouble of sailing over here?
Non-citizens can't demand benefits, by law. So, I don't know what you're talking about
The past justifies nothing and it is totally out of our control what people did 400 years ago. Because they also had slavery backthen doesn't mean it should be allowed today.
The more I think about it, the more sorry I feel for this poor girl. Her irresponsible mother abandoned her to be raised by her grandparents. The girl was so young at the time, and no doubt, has no memories of her parents. Sure, they sent some of their ill-gotten earnings back to Ecuador but that doesn't make them parents of year---far from it.
This girl was raised in rural Ecuador and didn't speak any English. The parents had no problem paying coyotes that they never met to smuggle their daughter into this country. That is so irresponsible to hand your child over to strangers---and criminal ones at that.
The poor girl probably was perfectly happy living with her grandparents in Ecuador. To uproot her, put her in the hands of coyotes and eventually move her to The Bronx, was too much for her to take. Her miserable excuses of parents apparently didn't think about what life would be like for their child in The Bronx. They were taking their daughter out of a rural environment to move her to an area that was urban and with high crime rates. The girl was, no doubt, going to be put in a rough school without knowing English and the parents had no problems with all of this!
No doubt this poor girl was thinking about all of this---going to live with parents she didn't know, leaving her grandparents and the only life she knew---and she was filled with despair.
Then her worthless parents refused to go claim their daughter's body because they knew that they wouldn't be able to go back to The Bronx. No surprise since it's obvious that the parents are very selfish.
They should be charged with trafficking a minor and be jailed. Once they complete their sentences, they get deported back to Ecuador.
Finally, the mother worked in a hair salon and the father worked in construction. These are jobs that Americans will do.

Agreed. Like I said earlier; that 12 year old girl was the victim here, it's her parents or at least the "mother" who is just worthless and needs to face justice and punishment.

Yes, the only life the poor girl had known was a pretty good life with her grandparents -- the only "parents" she knew. The girl was doing good in school -- that wouldn't be the case in the USA where she didn't know English.
The mother obviously didn't mind leaving her behind as a toddler and never seeing her for most of her life. She didn't care enough to identify her or attend her funeral so it's not as though there was ever any strong maternal bond.
So why all of a sudden did the mother feel some pressing "need" to turn her over to criminal smugglers and even pay them a good sum of money?
The only thing I can think would have motivated that was the mother thought by having a child smuggled in, she would benefit some how -- DACA -- why would illegals think Obama is going to limit that? The message is being sent loud and clear -- either give birth in the USA, or smuggle in a child and you will be given preference over all other illegals and the quick path to citizenship with all the extra benefits that provides like a comfortable all expenses-paid retirement here.
PackardFan---Yes, the poor girl is the victim in all of this. Of course, the MSM tries to pant the mother as the victim, which is sickening.
Malamute---You bring up a good point. Why did the parents decide to smuggle her into this country now? I think your explanation is correct. Obama and politicians on both sides of the aisle who support amnesty for illegals are ultimately responsible for this.
