I was wondering what you saw on the news last night about this illegal alien crisis at the border - from any source.
Second, does the LACK of comprehensive information concern you?
Third, what should be done about this void of information, and what will YOU do to effect any change?
Here's what I found (from several cable news sources, including CNN, FOX, and MSNBC ONLY LAST NIGHT:
1. A Gallup poll world-wide revealed that a significant majority would like to come to the US - 138 MILLION. Great Britain was second in line with significantly less.
2. The Mayor of Murietta, Ca, Alan Long, is NOT receiving any answers to his questions, to the gov't, to DHHS, or anyone about this bussing in of illegals. He has no idea how long the illegals would be staying there, no who will pay for the costs of housing, clothing, education, and health care.
3. Both the border agents as well as any health worker at Lackland AFB will be fired if they speak to anyone about anything having to do with these illegal aliens.
4. Having said that, a CNN reporter has 6 different sources from Lackland who confided in him that the health crisis there is serious, dangerous, and frightening. Already, there are dozens of kids/teens/adults with symptoms of TB. There has been a surge of treatment resistant TB!!!
5.CNN interviewed the a representative of the DHHS, who REFUSED to answer any questions about why these illegals were planned and allowed to cross the border in the first place, WHY were busses and transportation plans already set up, and what's the plan with these people. No response. Again, CNN asked him "will these kids be deported?" The rep responded something to the effect "they will be handled according to current laws in place" and in a manner "consistent with our laws and values". Nothing concrete, and he was very obtuse and skirted the questions.
6. Commentators pointed out that in 2008, approximately 8,143 illegals were deported. Under "O" in 2013, only 1,669 illegals were deported. -This speaks for itself....
7. Gov. Perry, likewise, has not received ANY answers from the gov't to his questions - similar to that of the mayor who was interviewed.
***I've observed that headlines in Dallas, California, and across the country have only focused on the "humanitarian" approach to "welcoming" these illegals. Consistently, there are no counter-arguments provided about the negative repercussions - including the cost (aggregate of $9 TRILLION dollars net DEFICIT to care for all of the illegals), the logistics and cost to educate these people, house them, provide health care, and on and on.
Finally, within the next week, Gov. Perry, Sean Hannity, and several others will be at the border trying to glean more information for us.
So, my question to you is, what have you observed? Where is the counter-balance? The balanced "conversation" about this crisis? WHERE are our reps and senators questioning the plan with these illegals? Are any of our reps planning any action?
Please post what you have seen, read, etc. Let's educate each other, and figure out what's going on here, what to do, and how to render more "balance" to the news surrounding the crisis at the border!
Thanks, ~ Dandiday
This was posted by Mr. Close - so, the Feds are now wanting to "address" the protesters of illegal immigration, instead of preventing the influx of illegals at the border! It seems this is a bit mis-directed!

Just heard a caller on Rush from California being asked to house them in their private homes, this is coming from the Catholic church and being told not to talk to the media.

Letting private volunteers house these people is the way to do it....and let them be responsible for them....100%.

By being responsible, you mean if the illegals, whom they are caring for, run away, the hosts would be held responsible at least for a hefty fine, right?

I wonder whom is actually asking? Do you think it's the DHHS?
It seems to me that this would be risky for everyone concerned- we don't know if any of these "kids" have been screened and treated for any diseases...likewise, depending on the age and sex of the illegal, doesn't one open themselves to the risk of being attacked, raped, robbed, and a host of other problems?
Hmm....the gov't is opening themselves to potential lawsuits as well...Suppose in addition to the above, what if breakouts of diseases start? This is all just astonishing!
Has there been any further news from the Feds being sent to Murietta, Ca? They were supposedly there to fight off the anti-illegals protesters...I'm turning the news on now to see what is being reported.
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that the administration is turning to religious organizations with the fear of "if you do not do this, your tax exempt status will get yanked." WE know they have no problems using the power of the IRS to intimidate.
