Since Trump seems to be the only candidate with a hard stance against illegal immigration, including deportation of those already here, do you think the issue itself is serious enough to the American people to vote him into the presidency?

I personally think it is the single greatest problem facing our country at this time and that we must vote for him simple because he is the only one who we can count on to handle the problem appropriately.

I don't know if we can count on him to do what he says he will do but I do like the message. He's the only one who is pushing for the deportation of illegal aliens from our country. I don't think there will be any mass round up but there are ways to make them leave on their own.

I do think that illegal immigration is one of the most pressing and problematic issues facing our country today.

People are going to have to push their congressional members on this also. Trump won't be able to do it alone. Know that their will be states that will resist. KS will be one of them. I can tell you that your elected officials, at least many of them, will try to blur the issue by talking about "immigration reform" which is nothing more than amnesty.

They broke the law. Lots of citizens get into trouble committing crimes trying to make a better life for their families too, stealing, prostituting, selling drugs, etc. and no one cries "But they were just trying to make a better life for their family." Imagine the money a mom could bring in prostituting yet that would be wrong even if the money was going to make a better life for the family.

Not to mention they are essentially un-vetted refugees, which is very dangerous.

The thousands of victims in this country bear witness to that fact.

I don't think it's THE most important issue. Income inequality, lack of opportunities, the replacement of good-paying jobs with low-paying McJobs, and the out-of-control cost of healthcare are all more important to me personally.

That being said, I won't vote for a pro-amnesty candidate. At all.

If that means I stay home on Election Day, that's what it means.

But all of the above can directly be attributed to illegal immigration at least in part.

While some of your issues also have importance, you must not have lived and witnessed the impact and erosion of our nation firsthand at the hand of illegal immigration. Live within a few hundred miles of the southern border and it will become apparent to you. Not only can the people be coming across to cause harm to our citizens directly, but the overall culture and mentality they bring is greatly eroding our identity and culture. It is in essence a 'soft assault' and erosion of our nation that will increase exponentially with time. The vast majority of them do NOT want to assimilate or subscribe to our heritage. They don't want to learn our language. They want to take the things they like about our country and change what they don't (language, culture, etc.).

I think that most Americans are simply ignorant to the impact because they do not witness it like those closer to the border. It doesn't seem like a big deal to them where they are but do not understand that by the time it does, it will be too late. They only know what they hear from the media or their liberal politicians who make it sound like we should all be embracing them because they take jobs we supposedly don't want. We want to fix wage-inequality but are willing to pay illegals below minimum wage. I guarantee plenty of Americans will happily take their jobs if the wage is right. Bottom line is that we can't have it both ways.

What is more important? Our nation's culture, identity, heritage and security, or illegals willing to be paid a peasant's wage to bottom fill our economy?

By the way, once we elevate the illegals to legal status, they too will demand the higher wages our current citizens demand and we will be left with the same problem, only our country will be eroded away.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!
