Only a part of the southwest was held by Mexico for a short 25 years. Mexico never owned the majority of the U.S. Besides what part of "use to" aren't you getting? It means it is no more. The U.S. paid $15 million for those territories and forgave them many debts even though they won a war against them. We mutually signed a treaty. So what does the past have to do with today?

Political demonstrations are no place for small children. People that use children as cannon fodder against the government are despicable.

Calif to Texas WAS part of Mexico, Mexico was owned by Spain, before that the Indians like the Aztecs and so on had the land. Things change and; sometimes those people who try "change" get stopped. To be fair; I'm sorry we didn't take ALL of Mexico in 1848.

Last time I checked, I don't think N Carolina was ever owned by Mexico. lol

Umm...No, most of it wasn't. All four border states were at one point, but not anymore. Last time i checked, North Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, North Dakota, Iowa and Connecticut were never part of Mexico.

And the big deal is these illegals are hurting our country. stealing SSN's, robbing, raping and killing our citizens, liberal politicians pandering to them, putting votes over common sense (I can't wait until they realize how much they've hurt their own places by pandering to the illegals, which will probably be too late), forced 2 California cities into bankruptcy, ruining our schools, our neighborhoods, leeching off of welfare, thinking they're entitled to get whatever they want now (they used to be silent), and a lot more.

Any city that declares itself a sanctuary city...I hope any city that does that goes bankrupt. And i hope that if Delaware becomes a sanctuary state, it turns out to be a horrible decision.

Trump 2016!

You are totally clueless. You really have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

When it comes to that statement, he's right about the border states, Nevada and Utah. And parts of Colorado and Wyoming. But everything else is wrong.

I'm aware of the border states and the fact they they were once part of Mexican territory (all the way to Cheyenne). But the poster is still a blithering idiot. Lives in la La Land.

There isn't any monopoly on who can make ID. Its just if you try to make knock-off of a state ID you might have some troubles. Costco cards, insurance cards and credit cards are widely regarded to be legitimate forms of ID.

Exactly. Not to suggest there weren't any improprieties on the part of the United States government, Alta California and such were eventually purchased by the United States.

Sadly, parents who think the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo is unjust and as such we are standing on their land rather than the other way around.
